Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Desa Berbasis Web sebagai Upaya Digitalisasi Pelayanan Publik di Desa Gunung Terang Kecamatan Bulok

Abstract

Digital transformation at the village government level is essential for improving the accessibility, efficiency, and transparency of public services. This study aims to develop a web-based village information system to support information management and administrative services in Gunung Terang Village, Bulok District, Tanggamus Regency, Indonesia. The system was developed using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), comprising requirements analysis and system planning, system design, implementation, application testing, maintenance, and continuous development. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review to identify existing administrative procedures and user requirements. The developed system integrates three primary user roles: Administrator, Service Affairs Officer (KAUR Layanan), and Community Users. Its main functionalities include village profiles and announcements, population and family data management, birth and death records, population migration, online letter applications, application verification, service-status monitoring, digital archiving, and administrative reporting. The results demonstrate that the developed system transforms previously fragmented and predominantly manual administrative processes into a more structured and integrated digital workflow. The web-based platform also enables residents to obtain village information and access selected administrative services without being fully dependent on direct visits to the village office. This study demonstrates the practical potential of an integrated web-based information system to support village-level e-government by improving information accessibility, administrative efficiency, service transparency, and digital documentation. Future development should emphasize data security, mobile optimization, system integration, and quantitative evaluation of user satisfaction and service performance.
